Behind the Zakat Foundation Belgium are, above all, women and men of action. Our strength? A small, incredibly versatile team that can switch from assessing needs on the ground to strategic management in an instant. We have one mission: to turn your Zakat into dignified, practical solutions.
Aware of the responsibility entrusted to us (the Amana), we also know when to call on others. For each specific challenge, we bring in the best outside expertise — legal experts, accountants or theologians. This synergy between our operational flexibility and their specialist knowledge ensures personalised, impeccable support for every beneficiary.
For Anissa, accounting is not about cold spreadsheets but a tool for social impact. Our finance expert puts her rigour at the service of one cause: making sure every donation is used to its full potential.
She juggles day-to-day management and strategic planning, making sure our “small” team has the resources it needs to act, without ever losing sight of the budgetary restraint that defines us.
Mohamed is much more than our Chair: he is the compass of the Zakat Foundation. A pioneer of Islamic finance in Belgium and a leading author on Zakat, he puts decades of theoretical and practical knowledge to work for one obsession: structuring solidarity.
Far from any ivory tower, he works alongside the team every day to make sure every action is doubly compliant: beyond reproach ethically (Sharia) and effective economically.
He is the one at work behind our website and internal tools. Nasreddin combines IT expertise with social commitment, turning complex technical challenges into simple solutions for the team and our donors.
His goal is clear: to use the power of digital to amplify our impact and save everyone time, so that we can focus on what really matters.
For Soufiane, a successful operation starts with a team that thrives. He is the one who makes sure the link between our various experts is never broken.
An experienced project manager, he runs the Foundation with care and rigour. He is there to make sure everyone has the resources they need to act, so that our goodwill always translates into professional results.
